Aug 11th - Short Note from Charis
===
[00:00:00] Welcome back to the Harness Your Health podcast. This is Charis Sederberg, [00:00:05] and this is just a very short note to my listeners to let you [00:00:10] know that there will not be a podcast episode this week. I, debated [00:00:15] about just leaving this blank and skipping this week, but I decided to leave this [00:00:20] short message because I think that it speaks very much to [00:00:25] myself, my clients a lot of people who are learning things from my [00:00:30] podcast.
And I just want to share briefly that my mom passed away [00:00:35] after a long battle with dementia and aphasia, and she is in a better [00:00:40] place. But when something like this happens, it's still obviously very [00:00:45] emotional and, a process of grief and memory [00:00:50] and, all the things. And my sister is with me now and I'm with my family, [00:00:55] and we are laughing and crying and doing all the things that [00:01:00] people do when these kinds of things happen.
What I realized is I needed to just post [00:01:05] this note to remind my listeners that this is taking care of your nervous system. This is [00:01:10] me not conforming to the fact that I have a podcast and I release an episode [00:01:15] every week on Tuesday, and I didn't have one ready for this week.
And [00:01:20] instead of trying to force myself to record something where my heart [00:01:25] would not be in it, I chose not to, and I'm sending you this message instead. [00:01:30] So I just want to put that out there for anyone who feels like [00:01:35] that is something that's a relief or gives them permission to [00:01:40] take care of themselves.
And I think we just all need to [00:01:45] be doing more of this and taking care of ourselves a little bit more. [00:01:50] So I am going to be the one to do it today. So thank you [00:01:55] always for being here, for listening. I appreciate you all so much, and we'll see you [00:02:00] next week.
