Charis & Jennifer Schlueter Raw Video

Jennifer: [00:00:00] I can now name the problem. I can analyze it. I know what attachment pattern I have. I [00:00:05] know what's happening with my nervous system. But how does it help you change your life? And this is where hypnosis [00:00:10] comes in.
[00:00:15]
Charis: Welcome back to the Harness Your Health podcast. I am here with a special guest [00:00:20] today, Jennifer Schlueter. She is another contributing [00:00:25] author to the Integrated Bodies book, and we are doing this series with all of [00:00:30] these wonderful women.
Just happened to all be women who are writing chapters [00:00:35] for this book. So thank you for being here, Jennifer.
Jennifer: Thank you so much for having me, and [00:00:40] thank you so much for hosting your podcast.
Charis: Yeah, no problem. It's been so fun to [00:00:45] interview different people and hear their background and really see how this book has [00:00:50] come together.
I told Jess, I interviewed her at the very beginning. She's the one that brought us [00:00:55] together. And everyone else, it just feels like a warm hug, for us to all be together, and we [00:01:00] don't... None of us really know each other for the most part. So it's just been [00:01:05] really a fun journey for me. Let's start by why don't you tell us who you are and what you [00:01:10] do? I know that's a loaded question, but
Jennifer: Yeah, so my name is Jennifer Schlueter. I [00:01:15] was born and raised in Germany, as you may hear by the name or the accent maybe a little bit. [00:01:20] And then I actually moved to the US. I was studying there, and then I had a [00:01:25] normal job, and at some point I was like, "Yeah, this doesn't fulfill me.
I [00:01:30] want to do something else." And because I wasn't fulfilled, my private [00:01:35] life also turned upside down and went into a negative spiral. I did my first hypnosis session [00:01:40] because a friend recommended it, and after that very session I quit my job to [00:01:45] travel the world. So hypnosis had a huge impact on me.
Matter of [00:01:50] fact, so big so that I became a hypnotherapist myself, and I am [00:01:55] now helping people with hypnosis to reach their [00:02:00] health goals, their wealth goals, and their relationship goals because hypnosis is such a [00:02:05] versatile... Like, you can use it for so many things, but what it always comes down to, doesn't matter if [00:02:10] it's money, health, or relationships, it's self-worth.
And especially with us women, we [00:02:15] just don't have a lot of self-worth a lot of the time. Yeah. So we are [00:02:20] building that up when we do hypnosis or also I'm sure with you even with nutrition or anything else, it's [00:02:25] like building up the self-worth.
I have my PhD in spiritual healing which [00:02:30] we're gonna get into as well, because this is also a bit of the focus of this podcast, just [00:02:35] to tell women about their wounds and how they can help [00:02:40] heal their bodies with their minds.
Charis: Absolutely. So I told you I have a little bit of experience [00:02:45] with hypnosis.
I did a couple hypnosis sessions actually with a friend who [00:02:50] was getting certified. She needed some subjects, and I did [00:02:55] that to help with my sleep. I had previously not been a great sleeper, so I have a little bit of [00:03:00] experience. And so when I saw that you were contributing to this book, I was like, "Oh, this is gonna [00:03:05] be great."
Because I think, as you mention in the book, and a lot of people know, when [00:03:10] people think of the word hyp- hypnosis, they're often thinking of that person in a [00:03:15] chicken costume or something, like, walking across the stage or something weird. [00:03:20] And that is really not what hypnosis is at all. I think for me, just [00:03:25] having a science background and appreciating, like, how the body works, I really needed to [00:03:30] understand it.
So can you just tell us a little bit about what even is hypnosis?
Jennifer: [00:03:35] yeah, definitely. So whatever you see on TV, in movies, [00:03:40] and on the stage, let's forget about that because we are talking today about hypnotherapy [00:03:45] and hypnosis, which is simply relaxation. [00:03:50] So we do therapy in relaxation, or we do [00:03:55] visualization in a relaxed state of mind.
Why relaxation? Because [00:04:00] during your normal day, how often do you take the time to relax and to listen to what's inside of [00:04:05] you with your soul, with your body? How often do you ti- take the time to do that? Probably not a [00:04:10] lot because we have so much going on in our lives. There's so much we're bombarded with, [00:04:15] social media, advertisements all of that stuff.
So we in hypnosis [00:04:20] go into relaxation because when we relax the body and the [00:04:25] mind, this is where we can access our subconscious, meaning this is where our patterns are [00:04:30] stored, our habits are stored, and our memories are stored from way back when. And sometimes we don't [00:04:35] even remember the things consciously, and this is also where our past lives are stored, [00:04:40] where, we can access different kinds of entities, beings, if we wanna get real [00:04:45] spiritual.
We can do a lot in relaxation. And it's simply relaxation, and [00:04:50] it's the magic in relaxation. Because if you have someone who can actually guide you through [00:04:55] relaxation and through different visualization techniques, which is what hypnosis really is, [00:05:00] then it's magic. It's pure magic, which I love. That's how I describe it always at [00:05:05] least.
Charis: Yeah. You talk about it that way in your book chapter, and I think that... I just... [00:05:10] When I read that, I was like, "Oh, that's just so awesome." And I think there's all differing ways [00:05:15] that people look at this. So some people need the scientific or the physiology [00:05:20] understanding, and some people like the more spiritual or the word magic [00:05:25] just makes you feel good.
You're just like, "Oh, I totally get it." So what would you say [00:05:30] to the person who is like, "I really wanna understand the brainwaves." Because I do think that [00:05:35] people who meditate or do other types of modalities that do help [00:05:40] them relax puts them into a specific brainwave state. So what is [00:05:45] that state for hypnosis?
Jennifer: Absolutely. So it's puts them into [00:05:50] the theta brainwave state. So when we talk... as you are listening to this podcast right now [00:05:55] with your eyes open, you are in beta, which is your normal day-to-day brainwave [00:06:00] state. Then if you close your eyes, you are in alpha. And the state [00:06:05] between sleeping and being awake is the theta brainwave state, and this is where we take you in [00:06:10] hypnosis.
So it's right before you fall asleep or right a- right before you fully wake [00:06:15] up, this is the simple state of relaxation
Charis: That's so awesome. That helps a lot. [00:06:20] 'Cause I do think with all the differing nervous system, things that people are [00:06:25] exposed to, and if you of course research anything online, then you're targeted and see [00:06:30] all the things.
I think there is some confusion about all of that. And so that helps it [00:06:35] feel a little bit more safe, if you will, like if you were gonna work with a [00:06:40] hypnotherapist, that you're not doing anything that is outside of something you would [00:06:45] normally do, right? It's like a safe place.
Jennifer: So you need to trust [00:06:50] the person that's doing it with you, and as long as you do, then you're totally fine. It's a safe place because [00:06:55] your subconscious mind will also never bring up anything that is not helping you. [00:07:00] It will only ever bring up what is going to help you, what is going to move you forward, [00:07:05] and what's going to help you thrive.
Our brain wants to stay in our [00:07:10] comfort zone. But your soul, which is what you access with hypnosis, is what wants to [00:07:15] help you thrive. And obviously, live your lessons in life because that's what we came here [00:07:20] for. We always learn the lessons, right? But at the end of the day, we also wanna have fun and enjoy this [00:07:25] life.
And this is what your soul will tell you in hypnosis as [00:07:30] well.
Charis: Absolutely. So I see in my work, and I know in just a lot of [00:07:35] practitioner I've talked to, other practitioners who have written chapters for this book [00:07:40] have talked a lot about women in particular who are just running in that [00:07:45] sympathetic drive.
They can't necessarily even access their emotions or how they feel about [00:07:50] things. Or they feel like if they slow down a little bit, that everything's just gonna [00:07:55] come to a crashing halt, right? So how does a [00:08:00] hypnotherapist connect with someone and help them feel [00:08:05] safe and help them come down from that place?
I imagine it doesn't always happen [00:08:10] instantly.
Jennifer: So sometimes it does.
I never wanna put limits onto anyone, [00:08:15] because there are some women who would just, going and going all day, all the time. They feel so relaxed [00:08:20] because they're like, "Finally I have the chance. This is an hour for me where I said for myself, I'm [00:08:25] going to take this hour for me and nothing is gonna bring me away from that."
Sometimes it works right [00:08:30] away, people have breakthroughs within the first session, like me. I was a working woman. I was so [00:08:35] doing social media, friends, all of... I had all of that going on, right? Then I had [00:08:40] my breakthrough in the first session, and I had several other breakthroughs in sessions that were following.
And then [00:08:45] of course there's people who have a more difficulty, who have more [00:08:50] difficulty focusing or relaxing. But there's ways that a hypnotherapist knows what to [00:08:55] do. We have very we have a lot of techniques and visualizations and things we can [00:09:00] say, and the wording, the language, however we use, or even our [00:09:05] pacing.
There's different tools that you learn in your hypnosis training where you can help [00:09:10] people with relaxation. And it's, yeah it's simple [00:09:15] relaxation. And o- of course with practice you get better. So i- if you are not great [00:09:20] in the first session, if you are not fully relaxed-
Then you practice. If [00:09:25] they're good, of course, the more you trust them, and the more you allow [00:09:30] yourself to relax. So it's a it's a two-way street, right? You have to have a good hypnotherapist and at the [00:09:35] same time you have to be able to allow yourself to relax.
If both match, then [00:09:40] the sky's the limit.
Charis: That's so awesome. So I think, for anyone listening [00:09:45] to this that's thinking maybe they wanna try hypnosis, then they just need to know [00:09:50] they don't need to do anything. Their job is to show up and try and relax as best they [00:09:55] can and listen to what the person is helping them with.
Jennifer: Exactly. That's [00:10:00] it. Okay. You just need to show up and li- and lie there and relax, and I'll do the rest for [00:10:05] you. That's all.
Charis: I did my sessions virtually, like online like this, [00:10:10] but do people do it in person and virtually?
Jennifer: There's different ups and downs to each, right?
So if you do [00:10:15] it virtually, you're in the comfort of your own home- ... and you can relax and it's nice. But for people [00:10:20] who have busy homes, it m- it's nicer- Sure ... or better to go to an office and [00:10:25] to be able to relax there. So it depends on everyone's circumstances.
Charis: Yeah. [00:10:30] That makes sense. So in the book you mentioned a little bit about therapy.
So obviously [00:10:35] therapy has its place, and you were talking about how people can understand [00:10:40] themselves a little bit better in talk therapy or the different types of therapy. But what [00:10:45] hypnosis does is it bridges that gap. 'Cause they might know what to do, but they just [00:10:50] can't get there. So can you explain that a little bit?
Jennifer: Yeah, so imagine in therapy you [00:10:55] talk about your problems all day, every day, all the time, and the person brings you, the therapist brings you back and back to the [00:11:00] problem. And you're like, "Okay, I can now name the problem. I can analyze it. I can even [00:11:05] say it in psychological wording." I know what attachment pattern I have.
I [00:11:10] know what I'm doing. I know what's happening with my nervous system, blah, blah, blah. But okay, but how does it [00:11:15] help you change your life? Like, how does it help you move forward? How does it help you get the confidence and [00:11:20] the action steps that you actually need to do to change your life? And this is where hypnosis comes in, and [00:11:25] this is why it can work so quickly as well, because I'm not the one giving anyone [00:11:30] advice.
I am the guide who will guide you to your own answers, because I have never [00:11:35] been in your position. I haven't lived your life. I haven't had your experiences, none of that. [00:11:40] And neither does the therapist, right? So me, I have only tools that [00:11:45] are visualizations. I take you to places in your own mind so you can [00:11:50] access your own answers within you.
You are the best person [00:11:55] to listen to, because I don't know how many of you have been there, but I have for sure been [00:12:00] there, where I listen to other people all the time, and it just wasn't it. So when I [00:12:05] listen to myself, my body, my soul, and what's deep within me, this is when I [00:12:10] get the best results in my health, in, in everything.
So that's most important as [00:12:15] well. A therapist sometimes they will also, they have their tools, they may give you advice or something. [00:12:20] But at the end of the day, you wanna be the one getting to that advice. [00:12:25] And the more you get to that place where you receive the answers, the advice [00:12:30] from yourself, the more you do that, the more you will build up your intuition, your [00:12:35] confidence, and the more you will be able to actually follow up on the action [00:12:40] steps that you need to do that your intuition is telling you.
Your intuition may say, "Oh, publish that [00:12:45] post online," or, "Oh, start that podcast," or, "Write that book," or whatever, right? And you're like no. [00:12:50] No." The devil in the head says something, and there's another person or voice in the head, the judgemental [00:12:55] person, the critic, whatever, they're all saying something, and you're not doing it.
But hypnosis takes you to the place [00:13:00] where you're actually gonna do it. And sometimes I'm saying this too, sometimes this happens [00:13:05] within one session, within three sessions. The longest program that I have is three months. I [00:13:10] don't wanna take people for a year, or for years, for several years, because I don't believe in that.[00:13:15]
Therapy, therapists have... That has been built on a system that [00:13:20] will keep you in there and that will make the therapist money. That system has not been built for you. It [00:13:25] does have a time and place, but be very careful with who you are working with when it comes to that. [00:13:30]
Charis: Yeah. I think it's just really almost two different things.
I think if someone is just so [00:13:35] disconnected from what they're doing, and maybe they just need that safe place to [00:13:40] talk about something, depending on the circumstances, then that's what therapy is great for. Yeah. [00:13:45] But as far as solving the actual problem, like getting to the root cause, that's the point [00:13:50] of hypnosis.
So you could use them together. You could layer them one after the other, or [00:13:55] one or the other. But it's... It makes sense that, the hypnosis is just [00:14:00] digging deeper. Because what a lot of people don't understand is that our conscious, [00:14:05] brain state like we're in right now is only 5 to 10% , how would you [00:14:10] explain that? How much energy our brain uses, or is it what we can tap [00:14:15] into?
Jennifer: How would I explain it? I would say during our... every moment when we're not in [00:14:20] relaxation, when we are just going and moving on autopilot, people say, [00:14:25] some, some people say it's the subconscious that runs it because the subconscious has all the patterns, and because of that [00:14:30] it runs it, but other people say it's the conscious that runs it.
I don't care. The fact is [00:14:35] when we run on autopilot, whatever that is, conscious or subconscious mind, doesn't matter but when we run [00:14:40] on autopilot or when we are in survival mode, we are just [00:14:45] going and doing and we are listening to other people, to social media, to TV, to [00:14:50] news, to whatever we're listening to, right?
But we're not listening to ourselves. [00:14:55] And the moment we start listening to ourselves, the moment we start slowing down and relaxing and [00:15:00] connecting with ourselves, that is when the magic happens.
Charis: That's awesome. [00:15:05] Okay, I love that, we've really been focusing, I think, on what [00:15:10] people often think of as this emotional part, maybe the psychological [00:15:15] part.
Let's connect it with your body. So in this book, it is [00:15:20] called The Integrated Body, is because it literally is trying to [00:15:25] explain and show people how we are not just a body, not just a mind, not just a [00:15:30] soul, right? It's all integrated together, and I think that the [00:15:35] reason that people wanna separate everything out is to treat something or manage something.
But what [00:15:40] we are saying in this book, a lot of us, is to zoom out and look at [00:15:45] yourself as just this whole complete person, and that [00:15:50] sometimes with the body we have manifestations of things like pain or [00:15:55] other symptoms. You talked about GI symptoms, which is close to my heart because this is what I help [00:16:00] people with.
But even, like, anxiety, other things, those are pain [00:16:05] manifestations. How is that connected with what's going on? [00:16:10] How can hypnosis access the, the root causes and help someone [00:16:15] with that? This is what your whole PhD is on, but I wanna set this up so that we can [00:16:20] understand it a little bit better.
Jennifer: Absolutely. So I wanna give you a statistic first, and this is what Gabor Mate [00:16:25] is talking about. He says something around more than 80% of autoimmune conditions [00:16:30] are in women. And then there's a book called The Body Keeps the Score, which is all about how [00:16:35] the body will remember stressors that you've had.
So let's say a heartbreak, [00:16:40] right? How long do you remember a heartbreak? Quite a bit probably if it was, y- the love of your life or [00:16:45] something you remember that heartbreak. And whenever a song comes on or [00:16:50] whenever you smell their perfume or whenever something happens, you'll be reminded of that person and your body [00:16:55] has a physical reaction, right?
And how many older people [00:17:00] who have lived with their partners for decades die shortly after their significant [00:17:05] other has passed away? And from a heart disease, right? So there is... This is the [00:17:10] kind of evidence, th- these are the kind of points that I wanna make for connections, right?
However, it's not [00:17:15] only with heartbreak. So let's imagine somebody is being robbed somewhere. Your [00:17:20] body will store that, and it's called trauma. Trauma is a [00:17:25] physical reaction that your body has after something that's happened in the past is being triggered or something [00:17:30] is being triggered by something that's happened in the past.
And this is how your body will show it to [00:17:35] you in physical symptoms or mental symptoms. So mental symptoms, what I mean is anxiety, depression, [00:17:40] all of that. And physical symptoms is pain symptoms, all of that. What hypnosis [00:17:45] does, hypnosis can take you to the root cause of a pain. So let's say you've been to [00:17:50] the doctor.
Let's say you have changed your nutrition, You are doing all the exercises. You [00:17:55] have done everything that everyone has told you and you're still not seeing [00:18:00] results. For me, my specialty is endometriosis. I've had women with endometriosis. They have [00:18:05] started the meditation, the journaling, they changed their nutrition, they did [00:18:10] exercises, the therapy, all of that stuff, right?
But it still wasn't helping them.
So [00:18:15] I take people to the root cause of their pain that nobody else can solve, [00:18:20] and this root cause is an emotional root cause, which probably happened either [00:18:25] in your childhood, your past life, or has something to do with your ancestors. These are the three [00:18:30] things that could have happened. And with hypnosis we can actually access that root [00:18:35] cause, meaning once you're in relaxation, somewhere in your body or your [00:18:40] mind it is stored what actually happened that caused this pain or symptom for [00:18:45] you emotionally.
I'm not saying this is the only root cause, right? We have [00:18:50] environmental factors. We have all the other factors. All I'm saying is there is an emotional root cause [00:18:55] for every physical pain. How do I know that? There's a lot of research [00:19:00] being done on the spiritual side. There's spiritual people researching that.
There is [00:19:05] people researching that scientifically. There is a brilliant book, it's called The Encyclopedia of [00:19:10] Ailments and Diseases, where a therapist has gone and checked, okay, [00:19:15] what is the connection between endometriosis and somebody not wanting to be their mother [00:19:20] or not wanting to be a mother or having a bad relationship with their mother?
What is the connection between [00:19:25] the knees and a person's ego? What is the connection between the shoulders and what we're actually [00:19:30] carrying on our shoulders? And why is our lower back hurting when we are not [00:19:35] financially secure or secure in a relationship? These are all connections that have been [00:19:40] made from therapists but also from the spiritual world.
And so hypnosis [00:19:45] can release that root cause that... let's say we find [00:19:50] that, something was happened with your ancestors. I'm gonna give you a specific example. [00:19:55] So there was a client who said her... Several clients, actually. Several clients with [00:20:00] endometriosis came to me, and they were like, " I see my grandmother."
She went back to her ancestors, to the [00:20:05] maternal line, and she was like, "Yeah, my grandmother is carrying betrayal, anger, [00:20:10] frustration. She's been maybe burned at the s- at the stake or something." Something happened with the [00:20:15] grandmother. We can release all of that, because your ancestors don't want you to hold [00:20:20] all of this.
So in hypnosis, I have my visualization, my guiding techniques that will [00:20:25] guide you to release that pain or symptoms. And then also where we can guide you is the [00:20:30] future. We will guide you to the future you who is already healed, who is [00:20:35] healthy, and that future you is going to give you advice on what to do physically, [00:20:40] mentally, and spiritually to help you heal.
And this is how I've [00:20:45] been able to achieve amazing results such as friend came to me with a year [00:20:50] of chronic back pain. Gone after one session, after a single session. Ladies with [00:20:55] endometriosis came to me. They came to me with a pain 10 or nine on the pain [00:21:00] scale, and they went down to a two or a zero.
That is wild. After one or three sessions, that is [00:21:05] absolutely insane. So this is- Why I love this so much, because a [00:21:10] simple emotional root cause release can cause such incredible [00:21:15] physical further reactions, right? And physical... It's a physical testament of what [00:21:20] we have been going through spiritually or mentally.
Charis: Absolutely. It's helps to [00:21:25] hear these anecdotal stories from people, and I know there's no shortage of them. There's [00:21:30] probably millions of different people who have this kind of story. And you have [00:21:35] mentioned in the book that there is a lot of research and that is happening in this [00:21:40] way, so people wanna understand that.
And you chose to do a [00:21:45] PhD in this, helping women specifically with endometriosis. [00:21:50] So do you wanna just talk about, What were they struggling with first? Because there might be [00:21:55] people here that don't even know what endometriosis is. So what were they struggling [00:22:00] with, and what kind of results did you see based on what you were doing?
Jennifer: Yes. [00:22:05] So endometriosis is a... i'm just gonna call it a disease [00:22:10] that women have, where uterine tissue can be found outside the body. [00:22:15] Some people even liken it to cancer because it's growth that is- ... happening in your body that is not [00:22:20] normal. And the results are that they are suffering physically when it comes to [00:22:25] their menstruation.
They have severe period pains. Sometimes they are severely bloated. They [00:22:30] even have a word called endo belly because they're so bloated. They have acne. They [00:22:35] may have back pain. Some people have it in their wrists, so they have wrist pain or they leg pain or [00:22:40] sciatica. It's, it... The symptoms are wild.
They are so vast. And so [00:22:45] people have been struggling physically and then mentally, of course. When you fear your cycle [00:22:50] every single month, you're like, "Oh, my God. I'm gonna have to take painkillers. I'm gonna have to stay in bed all [00:22:55] the time," la la, la, all of that stuff, right? You fear that every single month.
Of course your mental health is [00:23:00] gonna suffer. You're gonna have depression, anxiety, all of that. So this is what women came to me [00:23:05] with. And I said, "Okay in my PhD, I get to do whatever I [00:23:10] want." Because it was, it was the University of Sedona/the University of Metaphysics, [00:23:15] and They don't give you a topic that you have to do, but you can choose to do whatever you wanna [00:23:20] explore.
And so my friend said... Actually, she has had lots of friends with endometriosis, and she was like, [00:23:25] "Jenny, you can help these women, right?" And I was like I don't know." So she sent me someone, and I helped her [00:23:30] within a session only. And then I was like let me do this as a case study for my [00:23:35] PhD."
So I took five women from the internet, different parts of the world, Dubai, the [00:23:40] US Africa, different places, right? They all had endometriosis. [00:23:45] And we did one to three sessions with each. And [00:23:50] after the sessions, they all have reported immensely [00:23:55] emotional wellbeing approval. They have reported less physical symptoms.
[00:24:00] One of them, she went to the ER every time she had her period, and now she didn't have to go [00:24:05] to the ER anymore. There was another person who was already quite well [00:24:10] physically, but she was like, "Man, the mental load that was lifted, I can now [00:24:15] create and I can now feel joyful, actually." And then there was another, she was an artist, and she was like, "I [00:24:20] feel blocked because I can't create art in a bad state always.
I [00:24:25] feel like I'm creating art from a bad state." She didn't feel worthy of creating art in a [00:24:30] painful space that she was in every month. And I was like dude, [00:24:35] that art sometimes can be the best. But also, like obviously she said that from herself because I said [00:24:40] I'm never, like I'm never giving advice, but she said that for herself, and then she was able to [00:24:45] write more again.
She was able to create more again. So it's, it shows up in different ways [00:24:50] for every single person, but it's been incredible results. And after [00:24:55] the PhD, I said, "Okay, no more woman is gonna get just one [00:25:00] session" because sometimes one session's great, other times they need more. So I said, "Okay, I'm gonna have a three session [00:25:05] process."
And with that process, I was able to help more women [00:25:10] better and i've gotten better results from that as well.
Charis: Wow, that's so awesome. I [00:25:15] just love to hear the connections that people have. And I've talked about this a [00:25:20] lot on this podcast and with the different book contributors that, conventional medicine [00:25:25] struggles sometimes because it wants every person with a certain disease or condition to look [00:25:30] the same way, to have the same symptoms.
And what you're saying basically is they [00:25:35] don't all have the same root cause. It's manifested in this way that we label [00:25:40] endometriosis in this case, and that the person can [00:25:45] have differing symptoms coming in, and then afterwards they have differing [00:25:50] experiences too of how it's benefited them.
And so that's just us stepping back and trying not [00:25:55] to orchestrate the end result and letting the body do its [00:26:00] magic. I mean, It is magic. That's the perfect word to describe it, as you said. [00:26:05] People don't often trust the intrinsic nature of the body. The [00:26:10] body knows what to do. We just have to get out of its way.
Jennifer: Absolutely. And one thing I wanna mention [00:26:15] is what I found in... that they had in common was ancestral trauma. And [00:26:20] if we don't, if we're not a spiritual practitioner, we don't look into ancestral trauma, right? [00:26:25] So we don't even know that. But that is still, that can be stuck within you because you've [00:26:30] taken like all of us have some kind of ancestral trauma because there have been wars in the [00:26:35] past, and some of us, you know I had a client coming from Vietnam, I had a client come from the Turkish Greek [00:26:40] genocide.
I am a child of World War II grandparents. So everyone has [00:26:45] c- some certain kind of ancestral trauma. All of us as women, we've had, ... a lot [00:26:50] going on, right? It- it's there. But and that was the main, one of the main things [00:26:55] that I saw. But we never would, like conventional medicine would never [00:27:00] go there.
They would just not go there. And thankfully with hypnosis, this is a place where we can [00:27:05] go.
Charis: And there's no drug or treatment or whatever that fixes endometriosis [00:27:10] perfectly. So it's back to the whole adage of holistic health. We're trying to get to [00:27:15] the root causes of these things so someone doesn't have to continue battling with this for the rest of [00:27:20] their life and living this mediocre life in pain or suffering in [00:27:25] some way.
Jennifer: Exactly. And the most important thing is that [00:27:30] when, you get a diagnosis of one thing, it will not look like the [00:27:35] same as in everyone else because all of our bodies are different, all of our environments are different, all of [00:27:40] our experiences are different, our ancestors are different.
So we really have [00:27:45] to listen to our bodies and to us, not listen [00:27:50] to a doctor as the first person and put them at the, on a pedestal or something, [00:27:55] but really go within and listen to ourselves. Because I'm sure with you as well, like with nutrition, [00:28:00] sometimes I don't like something for a reason. Maybe I'm allergic to that thing.
But then [00:28:05] listen to my body actually okay what's going on? Why is my body rejecting this? And really [00:28:10] learning how to listen to your body and what's happening within you when you do something.
Charis: [00:28:15] Yeah, the problem with nutrition, there's so much, dogma and everyone has an opinion, [00:28:20] and I really think it is- Yeah
like an individual process, right? You have to feel good [00:28:25] with what you're eating on an emotional level, and also just a physical level, right? You [00:28:30] want it to be something that serves you and serves your body. Because if you're eating something and then [00:28:35] you're not feeling good, then you're gonna be like, "Ugh," and it's just such a physical [00:28:40] thing.
So will you just tell us what you're doing now? I know you [00:28:45] finished your PhD. I would love to hear about the spiritual hypnosis training offer that you [00:28:50] have, and anything else you wanna share with us. Obviously we're encouraging everyone to buy the [00:28:55] book.
You are getting privy to 12 different women and their differing [00:29:00] views on these different subjects, and it's just such a wonderful collection of art. [00:29:05] So how can people learn more about you or Get more into your world?
Jennifer: Thank you so [00:29:10] much for asking that. And also, just as a side note, us women need to be [00:29:15] creative.
The womb is the center of a, of creation, right? Us coming together and creating this book [00:29:20] in sisterhood is also something that is is helping not only ourselves, but other [00:29:25] people as well. I also offer a spiritual hypnosis training where I [00:29:30] teach people spiritual tools to get real-life results.
So for example, if we go [00:29:35] to your ancestors, you wanna have real-life results, right? For your health, your wealth, or relationships, whatever it is, you [00:29:40] wanna have those real-life results. You wanna lose weight, or you wanna meet your dream partner, or you [00:29:45] wanna get rid of your symptoms. So I teach you the spiritual tools, which is past life regression, future self, [00:29:50] inner child work, shadow work, soul work, all of that, to get those real-life results.
[00:29:55] And you become a confident, certified spiritual hypnosis practitioner. We [00:30:00] have students from all over the world and it's a beautiful course.
Charis: That's awesome. So [00:30:05] really you're taking that course with the intention to help other people as a certified [00:30:10] practitioner. But do you find that people sometimes do it just for themselves, too?
Jennifer: Oh, that [00:30:15] is the benefit because you get to practice with your other students as well. Yeah. You get to work on [00:30:20] yourself, and you get to do work for others.
Charis: That's so fun. I love it. So fun [00:30:25] talking to you, Jenny, and I just appreciate your time so much. We will make sure [00:30:30] that we have links to everything you've shared today so that people know how to find you.
[00:30:35] Obviously the e-book... when this episode comes out, the e-book will already be out. But [00:30:40] watch for us to be talking about the official paperback book, too. I think [00:30:45] it's gonna be really something that you wanna hold in your hands, right?
Jennifer: Absolutely. [00:30:50] Definitely. Go check out the book. I'm so excited for this one.
So excited. I
Charis: know. Me too. I hope you have a great [00:30:55] day.
